International Springboard: Past USA or NY Premiers

The JPMorgan Chase Latino Cultural Festival—presented by the Queens Theatre in the Park and now in its eighth year—has become an international springboard for the careers of Latino and Spanish artists. Dozens of musicians, dancers, and actors have made their USA or New York debut at the Festival and become world renown soon after. Here is a list of performances and films that had a premier at the Festival. Those with asterisks (*) were first-time USA or New York performances. The others listed may have performed in less formal settings such as clubs, churches, or parties, but made their theatrical debut at the Festival; or may have made a return performance after a long hiatus.
