The JPMorgan Chase Latino Cultural Festival 2005 is sponsored by JPMorgan Chase, Delta Air Lines (the official airline of Queens Theatre in the Park) and Con Edison. The Media Sponsors of the Festival are Time Warner Cable of New York City and New Jersey, NY1 Noticias, New York Times Community Affairs, and el diario/La Prensa. ABSOLUT® is the sponsor of the opening night of the JPMorgan Chase Latino Cultural Festival 2005. MetroPlus is the sponsor of the children’s programs at the JPMorgan Chase Latino Cultural Festival 2005. Additional funding for the JPMorgan Chase Latino Cultural Festival 2005 has been provided by the National Endowment for the Arts, New York State Council on the Arts, New York City Department of Cultural Affairs, Altman Foundation, Jerome Robbins Foundation, Harkness Foundation for Dance, Lila Acheson Wallace Theater Fund, and Bloomberg. We are pleased to host an intern from the Multicultural Arts Management Internship Program of the Arts & Business Council of New York. Efforts to expand and diversify audiences at Queens Theatre in the Park are supported by an ongoing grant from the Independence Community Foundation. Queens Theatre in the Park is a participant in the New Generations Program, funded by Doris Duke Charitable Foundation/The Andrew W. The Latino Cultural Festival was founded in 1997 by The Latin American Cultural Center of Queens and Queens Theatre in the Park.
Queens Theatre in the Park is a tax exempt, not for profit organization, funded in part by the New York City Department of Cultural Affairs; Speaker Gifford Miller and The Council of the City of New York; Helen Marshall, Borough President of Queens; and the Queens Delegation of the New York State Legislature, with additional funding provided by Assembly members Ivan C. Lafayette Speaker Pro Tem, Jeffrion Aubry, Barbara Clark, Michael Cohen, Michael N. Gianaris, Nettie Mayersohn, Brian M. McLaughlin, Jimmy Meng, Catherine Nolan, Audrey Pheffer, and Mark Weprin. Additional support for children, youth and family programs has been provided by State Senator Serphin R. Maltese and additional support for performing arts programs has been provided by State Senators Frank Padavan and Ada L. Smith.
