Singing in thier native Zulu Language, the members harmonize about overcoming obstacles and learning from exerience, caution against jealousy, and celebrating people coming together in unity. Shaka Zulu's story is told during "kuyafundw Osizini". Only two songs "This is the way we do" and "Prince of Peace", which reflect Shabalala's embracing of Cristianity since his conversion in 1975, are sung in english, but ladysmith Black Mambazo'sacrobatic vocalizing allows its message to get through in any language.
