Juana on Juana

i noticed the rhythm in the music on previous records was tacit. there, but concealed.

some people didn't feel there was any kind of rhythm at all!!!. surprised but comprehensive i decided to make what was pretty obvious for me, more obvious to others, to bring it to front. like a hidden layer in photoshop.

so all that was insinuated is now more tangible, hearable. i put the magnifier on the "very" rhythmic parts on previous records. in songs like "mantra del bicho feo", "sonamos", the end of "elena", "martin fierro", "misterio uruguayo", "uh", and enphasised that.

i really thought i was going to be able to become a drummer in a few months, but not really, so, again, i played different percussive instruments separately to make it sound like a whole. bombo legüero - used in all the records, a very typical argentinian drum, very low - gongs as cymballs, brushes and sticks on other woods and vocals. some sounds from the keyboards too.

i also accentuated the base lines, which makes me think i will need a band to play live now.

the songs are more abstract, much less lyrics, less literal images.
"un día voy a cantar las canciones sin letra y cada uno podrá imaginar si hablo de amor, de desilusión, banalidades o sobre platón" -- "one day i will sing the songs with no lyrics and everyone (each one?) will imagine if it's about love, disappointment, banalities or about Plato."

un dìa (one day).
