Lastly there is an excellent world music album available this week -- Seu Jorge's "Cru." Born in the favelas (slums) of Rio De Janeiro he first rose to prominence in the movie "City of God." Later he had a role in Wes Anderson's "The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou" and contributed the re-worked David Bowie songs (sung in Portuguese) to the soundtrack. This album finds him exploring the musical traditions of Brazil while remaining confrontational and creative. 09/07/05
