MarchFourth Marching Band aka M4
When you think of a marching band, perhaps you think New Year’s Day and the Rose Bowl Parade with high school and college marching bands strutting their stuff down Colorado Boulevard in Pasadena. You probably have never seen or heard a marching band quite like the MarchFourth or M4 as their fans call them. This group is said to have started their party on Fat Tuesday in 2003 in Portland, Or and has just kept going. Just one look at this group lets you know you are in for something quite different than the term “marching band” brings to mind. The band connects with all different types of audiences. M4′s fashion sense is startling and inspiring, their grove will take you from gypsy music of Eastern Europe to the African jungle, down to the Louisiana bayou and then down to South American. And this is just part of the tour! M4′s music has been described as rock-funk with elements of metal, ska, bollywood, swing, and jazz.
MarchFourth Marching Band’s fourth CD, Magnificent Beast is due out October 25, 2011. 10/08/11 >> go there
