Fusing the traditional sounds of zydeco with the excitement of modern dance music, accordion player/vocalist Geno Delafose has created some of the most infectious music to emanate out of Louisiana's French Triangle. With his first album in five years, Everybody's Dancing, Delafose maintains one foot in the traditions. Joined by his band French Rockin' Boogie, and, on three tunes, fiddler Michael Doucet of BeauSoleil, Delafose stirs an infectious mix of dance tunes. In addition to performing sizzling hot renditions of Zydeco and Cajun classic songs, including "Les Flammes D'Enfer," "Port Arthur Blues," Rockin Sydney's "Good Time Women,"and his father's (the late John Delafose) "Gotta Find My Woman," Delafose adds to the genre's repertoire with four original tunes.
