Argentinean born drummer/percussionist Ramiro Musotto has played in punk bands and behind many of Brazil's headliners including Caetano Veloso and Sergio Mendes. He has long studied musical styles from the Afro-Brazilian and South American cultures to modern electronica. On this CD he sets out to bring these diverse influences together.

The tracks are a mixture of street and field recordings woven together with Musotto's percussion heavy electronic music with infectious Afro-Brazilian-Latin dance rhythms. There are recordings of an Argentinean street vendor, the chants of Amazonian Xavantes Indians, and Candomblé spirit rituals.

This is a CD that can be listened to on many levels. It could power the dance floor and it's interesting to hear what Musoto has done with his mix of cultural influences. If you like electronic dance music that is heavy on rhythmic percussion, this is worth a listen. If you like experimental cultural blending, it's worth a listen.
