The first album of original songs in seven years by the South African vocal group that first gained international attention for its collaboration on Paul Simon’s Graceland is times to celebrate the 10-year anniversary of the end of apartheid.  But there’s nothing remotely complacent about this mostly a cappella program, which makes the harmonic connection between Zulu chanting and American gospel music more apparent – and uplifting – than ever before.
