Mali’s international star, guitarist-vocalist Koité has stretched far outside his roots of Malian griot music.  With influences of Western pop, flamenco, blues, and a heart dose of Afro-pop, Koité’s wonderfully written songs are driven by African super-group Bamada – pulsing, trancey percussion (á la Fela and/or Thomas Mapfumo) with colorful slithering guitar lines.  This intimate setting should be magical.  At 8 & 10.  $$ BOSLER
