Sonora Poncena, the long-running ensemble fronted by pianist Papo Lucca, brings some Cuban-drenched moxie and brash bugling to the park. Salsa dance band Bio Ritmo didn't get its start anywhere near el barrio, but its growing popularity is probably the best proof of that old adage "It ain't where ya' from (in Ritmo's case, Richmond), it's where ya' at." 07/29/04
