Various artists "World 2004": In 2002 BBC DJ Charlie Gillett released the first in an annual series of music from all over the world, "some sent by mail to clatter daily through my letterbox, others pointed out by friends and colleagues." Wherever the source, Gillett's done a great
job of gathering some of the most beautiful, eclectic and sometimes downright strange, music from all over this sphere we all live on. Take for example, track 1 from this double disc. "Xin" by Fat Marley, teams up a male singer
from India and a female singer from China, who have never met outside of their virtual teaming. The music is always lively and never boring. Keep up the great work, Gillett. We all need to recognize that this crazy-ass world
sings as it spins through the universe.
