One of Senegal's most influential hip-hop groups to date, Daara J, made their debut Bowl appearance by opening the night. Politically fueled lyrics powered by reggae, funk, salsa and Caribbean grooves penetrated the atmosphere and caught the attention of all attendees, even the latecomers still slow-poking in. Lurring and lulling an audience of nearly 15,000 with comfortable vibes, which underscored radical rhymes, the trio projected a spirit and strength that set the bar high for the much-anticipated headliners. 07/24/05 >> go there
