A concert celebrating the soulful and inspirational music of Latin-American women will be presented Tuesday, Oct. 19. Putumayo-Latinas: Woman of Latin America will feature Toto La Momposina (Columbia), Mariana Montalvo (Chile) and Belo Velloso (Brazil.)
Since 1962, the Performing Arts Series has grown and flourished, becoming a leading platform for the performing arts in Rhode Island and southeastern Massachusetts. The 2004-2005 season will offer a spectrum of international artists to celebrate the multi-cultural uniqueness of Rhode Island.
The concert begins at 8:00p.m, at Roberts Hall Auditorium.
