Linton Kwesi Johnson, Live in Paris With the Dennis Bovell Dub Band (Wrasse) pairs "the alternative poet-laureate" (as Time Out Magazine dubbed him) with the band that backed his best recordings for a concert celebrating a quarter-century of this engaging dub poet's impact on the reggae world as well as the world at large. Recorded live at the Zenith in Paris, the recording and performance are exemplary as LKJ runs through some of his best-known song/poems wiht Bovell's dubby backing. A virtual live best-of, the show includes "Sonny's Lettah," "Liesence Fi Kill," "Reggae Fi Bernard," "More Time" and "Dread Beat an Blood."
