Simplicity and unity. Oliver Mtukudzi "Nhava". There is no doubt people who wonder why anyone would listen to a CD that is sung in a foreign languag. In the case of Oliver Mtukudzi, there is an ornate beauty in the phrasing of the Zimbabwean language, the way it interweaves through the other instruments and voices. It becomes an instrument, and although one cannot discount the importance of the lyric¹s meaning, sometimes it¹s an aural treat to just listen to the sound of a language. But if you have to know what¹s being sung, Mtukudzi offers English translations on the sleeve. The songs are about simplicity and unity, and in a time of mass confusion,  this comes across as a true blessing. (www.headsup.com)
