Zimbabwean singer/songwriter Oliver Mtukudzi has been a musical force in his native country since 1975; with his move to the Heads Up label, he's poised to make his presence more powerfully felt in the United States as well. This jazzy, complex, but easily accessible album should give him a good start here. If your patrons like Thomas Mapfumo and Dorothy Masuka, you'll want to steer them in Mtukudzi's direction.
