Thomas Mapfumo, the Zimbabwean musician who now calls Eugene home, is embracing the digital world with his forthcoming release, "Rise Up."

The CD will be available Tuesday as a digital download from CalabashMusic .com, an Internet site dedicated to world music.

Also available that day will be "The Mapfumo Files," a 130-song collection that encompasses the entire Mapfumo catalog. The songs on "Files" include "Rise Up" and a never-before-released 1991 recording called "Afropop Worldwide Presents Thomas Mapfumo and the Blacks Unlimited: Live in New York."
