SAT 9.10 LURA Musical performance, 8 p.m. Berklee College of Music, Berklee Performance Center, 136 Mass. Ave., Boston. 617-876-4275. $22-$28. This is the Boston debut of up-and-coming chanteuse Lura, whose music draws on the upbeat sound of batuka, a musical tradition from her Cape Verdean roots, as well as the influences of her native Portugal. Known for her sultry caramel vocals and buoyant live performance, Lura is expected to be the biggest thing since Cape Verde's celebrated singer Cesaria Evora. ''She is very rooted, still, in that [Cape Verdean] community and that music, and she is a phenomenal performer and a fantastic singer,'' says Maure Aronson, executive director of World Music, which is organizing the concert.
