Both Seu Jorge and Aimee Mann have lent their music and personalities to the unique cinematic visions of quirky auteurs named Anderson. In Wes Anderson's Life Aquatic (2004), Jorge plays a crew member who breaks occasionally into acoustic Portuguese renderings of David Bowie songs. Mann got an Oscar nod for the bleak, yearning ballads that inform the characters in Paul Thomas Anderson's Magnolia (1999). These two artists usher in the 69th season of Stern Grove, a series of free Sunday summer concerts in Golden Gate Park. (JG) 06/13/06
