BOUBACAR TRAORE
Kongo Magni (World Village)
The Malian guitarist Boubacar Traore creates an amazing swirl of sound on his latest recording. At the center are his distinctive bluesy guitar style and matter-of-fact singing. Around these a band composed of accordion, harmonica, and percussion churns up a world of varying tone colors and subtle but irresistible rhythms.
