Uncivilized World
"Another World is Possible"

Another World Is Possible,  features a cross-section of alternatives to globalization - musically and philosophically.  The CD-sized, hardcover book features 50 pages of essays by some of the greatest thinkers and critics of globalization.  Manu Chao opens with "La Trampa," Asian Dub Foundation provides a cover of The Clash's "Police On My Back" trailed by No One Is Innocent, delivering "Le Poison," jazzrocker Emir Kusturica's Clash cover - "Lost In The Supermarket," and a rare live version of "I Wanna Be Free" from Femi Kuti.  The Skatalites offer up "Freedom Sounds," reggae lovers get Lee Scratch Perry's beauty "Dancing Shoes" and Tiken Jah Fakoli's rhythmic dub version "Franmcafrique."  Hamid Cheriet aka Idir, contributes an Arabic version of "Trompettes," Salif Keita's moving acoustic version "Baba," India native Nitin Sawney with "Falling," the U.S. group Grandaddy serves up "Wives Of Farmers" and platinum-selling Moby does his bit with "Afterlife."  The U.K.'s trip hop group, Massive Attack, lays down their thoughts with "Karmacoma" and the United States label for movement, "Underground Resistance" leaves their mark with "The Strangler."  Another World Is Possible offers a wrld of reasons ragarding an alternative form of globalization.
