For nearly two decades, Ladysmith Black Mambazo has garnered international attention for the vocalist that they contributed to Paul Simon's Graceland album to their most recent CD "Raise Your Spirit Higher," which has been at No.1 on the Billboard world music charts for months and was the Grammy winner for Best Traditional World Music Album of 2005.
Well one of the best a cappella groups around will be playing at the Tilles Center for the Performing Arts North Fork Hall on Friday, Feb. 10, 2006 at 7 p.m.
Don't miss this outstanding group whose music captivates listeners, while being able to spread the message of love, religion and tolerance. Their ability, led by Joseph Shabalala, to fuse isicathamiya, the traditional Zulu music born in the mines of South Africa and American gospel call and response stylings.
Tickets are $50, $40 and $30 ($47, $37 and $27 for Seniors). Tickets can be purchased at the Tilles Center's Box Office or through TillesCharge.
