The first Jews in North America came via boat from Brazil to New York some 350 years ago. Frank London celebrates this anniversary with the release of his zany album filled with Brazilian carnival traditions and the street sounds of brass bands and Klezmer. Shockingly celebratory the album boasts some of the best brass musicianship that Ive ever heard. On the album youll hear Yiddish that turns into Spanish, traditional Klezmer that morphs into something out of Eastern Europe or Mexican bar. Its weird, off-kilter, and completely uniqueprecisely the recipe for my undying love. 12/12/05 >> go there
