Coming from Antwerp and clearly determined to take on the world, Think of One can never be accused of playing it safe. They are a group of often over-exuberant Belgians who specialize in travelling to check out different musical styles.

Their latest venture has taken them to north-east Brazil to record with local musicians, with decidedly mixed results. There's everything here from beefed-up jazzy lounge pieces to sections where singer David Bovee sounds as if he is trying to move into Manu Chao territory, with cool, half-spoken vocals matched against furious percussion and impressive brass work.

"Tahina" starts as a gentle mood piece featuring a female chorus and ends up as a frantic thrash. It doesn't all work, but the energy and enthusiasm are impressive.
