So this is how a group of leftist/anarchistic squatters in Antwerp would sound.  Belgium-based Think of One presents a mixed-bag of Flemish marching band traditions infused with Eastern European, Arabic, technodance and world music genres.  Led by guitarist/composer David Bovee and drummer/ programmer Roel Poriau, the horn-driven outfit travels Europe and beyond, giving concerts on its converted flatbed truck.  The group has won legions of fans for showcasing its Flanders roots and that of Antwerp's immigrant community.  Its North American debut finds the peripatetic group journeying to northeastern Brazil, furthering the international stretch of its melting-pot sound.  The disc abounds with a dancable mix of Brazillian forro and coco, ska, Latino, Afro-pop and punk rock, all swirling in a cyclone of brass arrangements.  Full of musical humor and a tongue-in-cheek self-awareness, the material sounds like a cross between Nino Rota and Henry Mancini, with surprises lurking around every musical bend and twist.  Languages fly through the air thicker than a U.N. interpreters' picnic.  But who cares what the lyrics say?  Think of One's upbeat sound as one big, fun, infectious, groove-ilicious Euro-World dance party. 07/07/06
