Just as we have new dog breeds like puggles and labradoodles, we now can have musical mash-ups, like tonight's Ska Cuban hybrid party, led by band leader Natty Bo, whose band, Ska Cubano, kicks off a North American tour. Still with us? Expect thoroughly disoriented hipsters to wear their Che Guevara T-shirts and lurch around doing their best Gwen Stefani dance moves and pronouncing Cuba like "Kooohba." Moving on (phew), playwright Edward Albee moderates a chat on sculpture at East Hampton's Long-House Reserve. If you're more into moving art (or if you 're the kind of guy who nurses a not-so-secret Asian fetish), try the schoolgirl-rockfest film Linda, Linda, Linda, about Japanese power-pop girl groups, at the New York Asian Film Festival.  While you're there, don't forget the U.S. movie premiere of Welcome to Dongmakgol, a Korean film that claims to have made more dough last year than Harry Porter and Mr. and Mrs. Smith combined.

[Ska Cubano, Central Park Summer Stage, 69th Street at Fifth Avenue entrance, 3 to 6 p.m.; Albee colloquium, LongHouse Reserve, 133 Hands Creek Road, East Hampton, 6p.m.; New Tork Asian Film Festival at the ImaginAsian, 239 East 59th, 1 to 10:30 p.m., www.subwaycinema.com.] 07/03/06
