EASY STAR ALL- STARS, Radiodread (Easy Star): A reggae redo of Radiohead's "OK Computer" that manages to connect reggae's tradition of political protest to Thorn Yorke's relentlessly dark commentary on the technology-bound state of the modern world. It doesn't all work; "Paranoid Android," in particular, loses its punch in the cross-genre translation. But guests Toots & the Maytals and Morgan Heritage contribute to some of the finer moments a rousing "Let Down" and "Electioneering" thus under scoring not only the universal impact of Yorke's themes but also the truth of music as a universal language. www.easystar.com. 08/31/06
