Review - Wow. I've just been stunned by the beautifully haunting voice of Azam. Her music is equally stirring with engaging rhythms and electronic bleeps and beeps locating their way into the mix. Atmospheric ethereal synths swirl their way around diverse Middle Eastern influenced poly rhythms while the sensual female vocals lull you into a trance. Lafta, a frame drum, and other hand drums complement the otherworldly electronic instruments giving it a dark almost foreboding fusion yet with strangely organic and warm textures well in hand. Astonishing.
