This is a thoroughly wonderful collection of new campesino recordings by the Manzanillo-based Grupo Eduardo Saborit: acoustic, multilayered, packed with call-and-response vocals and danceable in a very snaky, swivel-hipped sort of way, this music is jazzy without being jazz and funky without being funk.
