ALBERT KUVEZIN & YAT KHA/Re-Covers:
Astute world beaters will probably remember Yat Kha as the Tuvan band that was on the way up and suddenly fell off the radar. So begins the tale of mystery intrigue and misfortunes that you can get from their website, but broken and with nothing left but determination, Kuvezin found solace in his rock and blues records and became
committed to giving them a Siberian slant. This set is the product of such time and tide. Whether or not the world beat market still has an appetite for Tuvan throat singing is another debate for another time, but whether it has an appetite for this mash up is a question for the hear and now.
