Albert Kuvekin and Yat-Kha
Albert Kuvezin is the leader of Tuvan roots-rock band Yat-Kha. His vocals are an unforgettable double-bass, lower-than-low throat-singing style, and the use of the Tuvan instruments, make his style unique. Cuts of the covers from top rock artists' hits include, "When The Levee Breaks" (Led Zeppelin), "Man Machine," Hank Williams' "Ramblin' Man.," plus "In A Gadda Da Vida," (Iron Butterfly), Captain Beefheart's "Here Eyes Are A Blue Million Miles" and Motorhead's "Orgasmatron." Kuvezin turns to Paul Mauriat's "Toccata," continuing with a version of Santana's "Black Magic Woman," Bob Marley's "Exodus," and the Rolling Stones "Play With Fire." Catch Kuvezin's unique sound live, as he will be appearing at Boston's Museum of Fine Arts on September 23rd.
