This year Dave Holland turns the big 6-0. But you wouldn’t guess his age given his fresh take at jazz traditions. Smooth grooves that are ladled in with nasty brass horns and killer drumming makes “Critical Mass” a fun and entertaining listen. One of the better examples of jazz with elements of free form and thick groovy jazz bass, Dave Holland is looking forward to furthering his already dynamite career.
