Balkan Beat Box will rock your casbah every which way, with a mix of East European folk, live percussion, jazzy wedding horns, DJ manipulations and sampled vocals of many cultures. The ancient becomes au courant on the group's debut CD, which includes dol lops of rai, klezmer and other sounds of the Middle East, North Africa and New York hipster clubs. Co-founders Tamir Muskat and Ori Kaplan are "utterly unkosher" transplanted Israelis whom you may know from the bands Firewater and Gogol Bordello.
