O's Notes: Don sings 'drinking songs' and 'love songs' that have tremendous appeal in his native Romania. We classify these as Eastern European blues. He has a falsetto voice that is either appreciated or despised. This gypsy music was recorded in the early 1960s and is finding renewed interests in some musical circles today.
