Capeverdean music phenomenon Lura tackles another U.S. tour, her fourth, this time in support of her album "M'Bem Di Fora" now available on Times Square/4Q Records. The tour will first take the singer to Lisner Auditorium, April 10, inside George Washington University in Washington D.C., the Perelman Theater for the Performing Arts, April 11, in Philadelphia, PA, followed by the Kimmel Center's Pollack Theater, April13, at Monmouth University, NJ, the Symphony Space, April 14, at New York City's World Music Institute, and the Jazz Alley, April 16, Seattle, WA. Lura will also kick off a series of shows in the state of California, beginning on April 19 at the State Theater of Modesto.  On the following day, April 20, she will perform at University of California's Wheeler Auditorium (Berkeley) before she heads to Santa Cruz for a concert at the Rio Theater on April 21. Born in Lisbon from Capeverdean parents, Lura has been touring the world extensively since a successful release of "M'Bem Di Fora," an album displaying traditional music styles like funaná, coladera and batuku. Recently signed by ICM Artists, one of the world's largest talent and literary agencies, Lura was featured in Putumayo's World Music Women of the World (March 2007) amongst other music stars from around the world, such as Sandrine Kiberlain, Luca Mundaca, Anastasia Moutsatsou, Marta Gómez, Kaïssa, The Wailin'Jennys, etc. 04/09/07 >> go there
