THURSDAY: Irish band Dervish whirls into Hailey

HAILEY — The Irish band Dervish whirls into Hailey's Liberty Theater at 6:30 p.m. Thursday for a pre-St. Patrick's Day performance as part of the Sun Valley Center for the Arts Winter Series. Built on the hauntingly charismatic vocals of Cathy Jordan and the dazzling virtuosity of instrumentalists, Dervish first attracted attention in the early 1990s with its legendary pub sessions. A Dervish concert ranges from high energy tunes to beautifully measured ballads, from charming lyrics of life and love to inspiring melodies that lift audiences from their seats.
