Paddy’s, part two
Rejoice, all ye lads and lasses still crying into your green beer because St. Patrick’s Day has come and gone: Dervish has just the Celtic pick-me-up you need. Though the Dublin, Ireland, group performed here last year on St. Paddy’s, this year Dervish is giving anyone who loves being Irish for a day a chance to extend that feeling by almost a week. Singer Cathy Jordan, who sounds a bit like Dolores O’Riordan of Celtic rockers The Cranberries, is backed by five world-class acoustic musicians who are sure to get your hands clappin’ and your toes tappin’. Dervish performs at 8 tonight at CSPS, 1103 Third St. SE, Cedar Rapids. Tickets are $24 through (319) 364-1580. 03/22/07
