Hebrew Hipsters

Heeb Magazine, the irreverent arts, culture and politics publication for young Jews, teams with indie label JDub Records in presenting the "Jewltide" holiday celebration at the Empty Bottle, 1035 N. Western Ave. One of several such events happening nationwide, Chicago's "Jewltide" indudes a performance by Golem, a Gogol Bordello-ish outfit who put a punk rock spin on traditional Jewish, Gypsy and Slavic folk songs, plus Yiddish rapper SoCalled as well as "dredyls, donuts and drinks."
