Some of the most exciting music to come out of Africa in recent years is coming from the Cote d'Ivoire, and some of the best of that music is coming out of the mouth of Dobet Gnahore. By turns funky, delicate, forward-looking and tradition-minded, the songs on this disc are sumptuously beautiful and irresistibly danceable.
