Dynamic beats, rhythms, rhymes, and dubby echoes create Nu Med, BBB's new released on JDUB Records. Tamir Muskat, co-founder and drummer of Balkan Beat Box, switches gears with hip-hop, dub, and electronics, juxtaposed with ancient Arabic, Moroccan, Gypsy and Mediterranean melodies. Nu Med brings BBB's intense live energy into the studio as atmostpheric audience feedback. Borders are united in collaboration wtih Moroccan, Bulgarian, Macedonian and American musicians. Joro Boro, a most inventive track, combines a twist of country and Souther guitar into the mix. "What makes it a fance floor experience are the beats combined with soulful melodies that want to make you move," says Tamir. Nu Med is culture in harmony. I recommend headphones.
