Tcheka, Cedar Cultured Center. After having been charmed by Cesaria Evora at a previous Cedar concert, I was charmed in a different way by her fellow singer from Cape Verde. Backed by a stellar trio, he had a sweet voice, infectious smile and a fascinating approach to the acoustic guitar, plucking it like a percussion instrument. And the clincher was his gently swiveling hips. 07/01/07
