Indo-Canadian singer Kiran Ahluwalia, who makes her San Francisco debut Friday, specializes in the ghazal, the ancient poetic songcraft that she describes as a “highly literate pickup line.” Ahluwalia and her five-piece ensemble (including tabla, harmonium, guitar and bass) infuse the ghazal with influences from around the world. The event includes two sets, a post-concert Q&A session with Ahluwalia and a potluck dinner. Dinner 7 p.m., performancd 8:30 p.m. Fro. $25 advance, $27.50 door.
