JPMorgan Chase Latino Cultural Festival (July 25- Aug. 5, Queens Theatre in the Park, Flushing). This adventurous annual music and dance festival is delightfully all over the map. This summer, its dance offerings include the jazz-inflected tango troupe led by Argentine emigre Pablo Aslan, Avantango, Spain's Noche Flamenca and the Mexican folkloric group Semilla. If last year's model holds, the one commissioned work, by Costa Rican dance-theater duo Diquis Tiquis, may prove the high point. Alejandro Tosatti and Sandra Trejos throw the magical realism of García Márquez into weightless motion, adding a dash of absurdist comedy for spice. 05/27/07 >> go there
