Shahram/ Hafez Nazeri
- The Passion of Rumi
Iranian singer Shahram Nazeri has been a devotee of Sufi poet Rumi, whose 13th centrury works have withstood the the test of time. Together with his son Hafez who created the compositions and arrangments, Shahrams powerful songs were put to the music. The proof is in the passion of tracks as "Mystic" the dirge like "Evan Madeen" trailed by "Enchanted I," a poem by Shahram and Hafez, the memorable "Journey To Enternity," and mark the midway point with the intrigue of "Fanayam Man I." Together, the Nazeris have belended the persianmusic rythms with the orchestrations of Western music to create a new sound. The four Rumi poems used are the focus, including "Beyond" "Fanayam Man II," "In Solitude"and the finale is "The Passion Of Rumi." East and West music become one!
