Ladysmith Black Mambazo is on tour in support of its new album, "Ilembe: Honoring Shaka Zulu," which pays tribute to the historic Southern African warrior and first king of the Zulus.

The group, founded in the early '60s by Joseph Shabalala, fuses native South African vocal traditions with gospel music.

Paul Simon included them on his 1986 album, "Graceland," expanding their worldwide reach.

The group's stirring vocal harmonies are mesmerizing.

Ladysmith Black Mambazo performs Wednesday at 8 p.m. at the Moore Theatre (tickets $35, selling fast).
