The New Year will see a global explosion of music in New York at the fifth annual GlobalFEST, set to kick off Sunday, January 13, 2008 at Webster Hall, located at 125 E. 11th St. GlobalFEST has become the U.S.'s leading showcasing event for artists performing a huge range of styles from around the world. Thirteen artists will perform over the course of the night with a wide variety of nations, ethnicities, styles, and tempos represented. GlobalFEST is organized by The Public Theater (NYC), World Music Institute (NYC), and World Music/CRASHarts (Boston). Keep a close eye out for updates on the line up to be announced shortly.
