How many times were you up late at night, watching a Time Life commercial and wondering just how “Red Headed Stranger” would have sounded if Willie Nelson made it loaded on meth? Enough times that you want to check out this extended take on “Delia’s Gone” in which a murder ballad is stretched out to album length in glorious hillybillyophoncs? The most nutsed out Americana album you could come across this side of G. G. Allin’s country album, The Wilders don’t know there are any rules so they don’t bother playing by them. One of the genre’s most wild and woolly albums, strictly not for PBS tastes.
