-Shelton Ivany

Intricately crafted folk tunes, but that doesn't sum it up well. Someone's Got To Pay is a high energy dose of emotion, energy and soul that is lost on most modern day folk artists. This is the first album The Wilders have used an actual drummer and electric instruments, which boosts everything just enough to make the recording, in my opinion, perfect.

Vocal styles similar to old-timey folk stars (Joe Hill, Woody Guthrie, etc.), and very little on here to complain about. Also, it's a concept album about a murder trial, which is only that much more reminiscent of old folk.  09/03/08 >> go there
