This Quebec quartet has won a series of awards already, and they're only on their third CD. After listening to Dans Les Airs, it's easy to see why. Le Vent Du Nord creats a perfect blend of vocals and instrumentals with everything perfectly put together, and not one note is out of place. This CD is not particularly different from its two predecessors-- there are no radical changes or surprises, just the same fantastic full vocal harmonies and deft instrumental work (particularly on violin, accordion and hurdy gurdy)-- along with that signature rhythm section of acoustic guitar and foot percussion that keeps everything swinging along nicely. So ... no complaints about the music. I just wish the CD booklet included English translations of the lyrics. The full French lyrics are printed, however, and there are background notes on each selection in French and English. --KR 03/01/08
